Be Beautiful and Go Green campaign

Making it easy to recycle, we harvested 10 lbs of pure clean HDPE shampoo and conditioner bottles, with beautiful colors that showed up bright and beautiful in our sample tiles.

• We learned: 
•     These bottles make beautiful raw material!  
•      It is easiest to pick a few items to recycle and then expand from there.
•      Lovely to work with motivated hairdressers who care!

Learning tons from our very first pilot involving a dozen homes, we harvested 10 lbs of mixed HDPE and PP 

Watch out for us as we come back with a central community collection initiative.

• We learned: 
•    Laundry, shampoo bottles, yoghurt containers, cups, to go food containers, even Dunkin Donuts               containers!  All these containers have a triangle on the back with a #2 for HDPE or #5 for PP.   
•    The cleaning and sorting process is very labor intensive, we need our plastic squeaky clean!
•   Cottontown is a great neighborhood, and Earlwood neighborhood wants to be in on recycling too!
